Stats, Hits, Metrics, Analytics, Counters

When users get their own stats they hardly look for new one.
I was using so much the performancing metrics while they were available and now instead of metrics they are still helping bloggers with quality posts for bloggers.

So which stats are most used today?
I would say…..

1.) AWstats

They come pre installed with hosting providers (same as webalizer) and the best thing is that AWstats tracks linkbacks the very nice way.

2.) Google analytics

First thing for webmasters is to register analytics and put them in every page they want to track.
Analytics are not so new if you compare them to other stats programs but they are the fastest growing…Everybody wants them :)

Second from google is the Webmaster Tools Sitemaps

This help a google bot to crawl your site more often but you need to have a sitemap in .xml format (I know a this sitemap generator and one for Wordpress users.)

3.) StatCounter.com The Invsible Tracking

A free yet reliable invisible web tracker, highly configurable hit counter and real-time detailed web stats.
They really are a real-time stats.

4.) Extremetracking

With the eXTReMe Tracker you get every advanced feature required to picture the visitors of your website. Conveniently arranged, numbers, percentages, stats, totals and averages.

I think this extreme stats are good for linkback because you can publicly display your stats and all the links are there :)

5.) Sitemeter

I just like this one and I am using in on this site with no good reason, i also use analytics and hosted AWstats.

6.) Heat Map Stats Widgetbox

This goes with Whos.among.us stats.

And 2 more that may look nice to try:

Tracksite.ru See the Demo

and

Blogpatrol See the Demo

Yeap thats it.
